After completing 5 years maximum teaching contract in public and charter schools in North Carolina under the Visiting International Faculty Program, she relocated to Singapore and joined the teaching staff of the Overseas Family School, an International Baccalaureate World School, and taught grades 6-8 mathematics.
Ms Dalisay holds a Master's Degree in Education Management and a BA in secondary education with a major in science and a minor in mathematics. In 2012 she completed training in philosophy, planning, framework and assessment at Overseas Family School, Singapore. At the Academy of Moore County where she is back and currently teaching, she attended Franklin Covery's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and adapted its core values to the schools's student leadership program. Other professional enhancement trainings include Effective Classroom Management and Professional Development Workshop with the Visiting Internation Faculty Program.
Rachel believes that a quality teacher is one with excellent content knowledge, instructional planning, sound student management, adaptive self and a great passion to teach.
