Visual Arts 3-5
Judy Browne is a native of Pennsylvania and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education. She has a North Carolina teaching certification for grades K-12 and is excited to be teaching students in grades three through five this year.
Through her Visual Arts curriculum, students will study the elements and principles of design, as well as historical and contemporary artists. They will develop the skills of art criticism and aesthetics, which will enable them to describe, analyze, interpret, and evaluate works of art. They will apply problem solving skills, critical thinking skills. self-reflection, and have the opportunity to experience working with a wide variety of art media in two and three dimensions.
Judy enjoys photography, silk painting, cooking, and traveling. She loves the warm climate of North Carolina and exploring all the state has to offer.
