We have assembled this list of providers for the convenience of those military families moving into our area.  Please note that none of the providers are associated with The Academy of Moore County nor does the Academy recommend any provider.  The lists are not meant to be exhaustive and there are others in the community who are available to provide similar services.

Attention military parents of children with special needs!

 

Amy Melindez is the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Specialist for our area. This team of experts has amazing resources available to all military-connected children with educational and physical needs. They also plan lots of fun group activities throughout the year- Please reach out to her if you have a child with special needs!

Our military liaison is Mr. Bursey. Mr. Bursey is a former military child working on his Master’s in Education for School Counseling from Liberty University. Please reach out to him with any questions or concerns.
Use our Inbound checklist and Outbound form to assist with your military move. This checklist, created by the Military Child Education Coalition, is another resource to help with these transition periods.
